Cluster Meeting 2
9am-12pm
Ruwharo
2nd Floor, Hetley Building
EIT
Napier Cluster - Saturday 7 June
Hastings Cluster - Saturday 14 June

Agenda:
  1. Assessment for learning and the Principles of Te Whāriki.
  2. Assessment for learning, does it inform our teaching?
Black and William (1998), define formative assessment as follows:
Assessment refers to all those activities undertaken by teachers,
and by students in assessing themselves which provide information to
be used as feedback to modify teaching and learning activities in which they are
engaged. Such assessment becomes formative assessment when the evidence
is actually used to adapt the teaching work to continue the learning.

  1. What is a wiki space? How do I use it? Is it useful?
  2. Bring along something to share - this could include any of the following:
  • Planning documentation photos
  • Stories of change in assessment for learning practices at your centre
  • Any challenges your team has in relation to assessment for learning.

Looking forward to seeing you all,

    Glynis
